Anton Corbijn

Anton Corbijn s-a nascut la 20 mai 1955 in Strijen, Olanda. Corbijn este cunoscut ca fiind un regizor si fotograf foarte apropiat de trupele Depeche Mode si U2.

Corbijn a imbratisat prima oara fotografia in 1972 la un concert. In 1979 s-a mutat la Londra si a inceput sa lucreze cu formatii celebre, cum ar fi Joy Division. Ulterior a ajuns sa lucreze pentru revistele Vogue si Rolling Stones.

Intr-un mod mai mult sau mai putin accidental, Anton Corbijn a inceput sa cocheteze cu realizarea de videoclipuri muzicale la cererea lui Palais Schaumburg.

Corbijn nu s-a oprit la realizarea de videoclipuri muzicale si a regizat primul lui scurt-metraj in 1994, despre Capitanul Beefhear pe care l-a numit "Some Yoyo Stuff"


Palm Pictures, in 2005, a lansat un DVD ce include o colectie a videoclipurilor muzicale realizate de Corbijn precum si un booklet de 56 de pagini, imagini taiate la montaj si comentariile muzicienilor care s-au bucurat de un asemenea privilegiu.

La 17 mai 2007, Anton Corbijn lanseaza primul film de lung-metraj regizat de el - Control-  in cadrul festivalului de la Cannes. Viata lui Ian Curtis, vocalistul formatiei Joy Division este subiectul filmului "Control". Filmul a strans premiile pentru cel mai bun film la Directors' Fortnight si premiul "Regards Jeunes".
