Se stinge din viata inventatorul cartonaselor galbene si rosii in fotbal, Ken Aston
La 23 octombrie 2001 trece in nefiinta Ken Aston, arbitrul de fotbal, inventatorul cartonaselor galbene si rosii in fotbal. Cartonasele au fost folosite in premiera la Mondialul din 1970, cind Ken Aston era presedintele Comisiei de Arbitri a FIFA. Acelasi Aston a mai introdus echipamentul negru pentru arbitri si al patrulea oficial in teren si a colorat steguletele asistentilor in rosu si galben, pentru a fi vizibile.
