La 5 mai 1818 se naste Karl Marx, filozof german, istoric, economist, sociolog si jurnalist, intemeietor impreuna cu Friedrich Engels al teoriei socialismului stiintific, teoretician si lider al miscarii muncitoresti. A avut o influenta importanta asupra istoriei politice a secolului al XX-lea.
